Entrepreneurship In Technology Event

Technology is often viewed as tools we use to facilitate our lives. However, all democratized technologies initially relied on innovation and entrepreneurship to progress society. This event aims to give a feel of the vast opportunities that exist when technology is used for entrepreneurship. Below is the timeline for the event:

Here are some of the most common questions we have had regarding our upcoming entrepreneurship in technology event.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 16th, 2022. It will begin at 1:00 pm and will run until 4:15 pm.

The event is totally free!! Your time and passion are the only things required to attend our event.

You can sign up by filling out the google form found through the “Sign Up” button anywhere on this website; the closest on the navigation bar.

The workshops have been designed to develop specific skills that allow someone to undertake entrepreneurship with technology. This will be done to hopefully inspire our attendees to use up and coming technologies for entrepreneurship.

This event has been designed to be geared towards high school students but people of all ages are most definitely welcome to benefit from the expertise our event has to offer!

No prior knowledge is needed to attend the event. Anyone from any skill level can attend and is greatly encouraged to do so. Notes can be taken at your discretion as the event will take place virtually.

About Us

Who and why Ascent?

Ascent is a youth-led organization founded by high-school students from Ottawa, Ontario, which aims to expose young students to the expanding fields of the future. We allow students to learn about emerging technologies, (such as AI and augmented reality etc.) explore career options, and network with professionals; as well as take part in interactive workshops, challenges, and much more!!

Our aim is to provide the resources and platforms to jump start careers in becoming tomorrow’s intellectual pioneers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events soon!
